Brief info

Humberto Velázquez Villalvazo, an attorney as of 1995 from Universidad del Valle de México, Campus Lomas Verdes. He continued with his studies in 1997, when he obtained his post graduate degree in fiscal law in Mexico City. He graduated with high honors from his Masters School specializing in Criminal Law.

He began his legal Clerk function in 1994 at Tamez y Asociados, in Mexico city, thereafter in 1998 he was assistant district attorney at the General Prosecutor Office in Mexico City in the Detainee Department at the Investigation Phase specialized in Sex crimes and then in vehicle theft.

From 1999 to 2012, he was a district attorney for the Federal Prosecutor Office in the States of Baja California and Jalisco. Likewise, within said institution he was Sub-deputy of the Federal General Prosecutor Office for Baja California.

Academically, he has been a professor of Criminal Law at the Universidad de Guadalajara, Campus Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco; has been an invited professor at both Cetys Universidad, Universidad Autónoma de Baja California, Unifront and Humanitas; and has given various seminars and courses at the State Prosecutor Office for Baja California, the city Public Security Office and the State Preventive Police. He has received various training at the federal prosecutor level and by the National Criminal Science Institute – INACIPE – and studies at the Judicial School of the Federal Judiciary Institute of the Judicial Branch of the federation.
